Prologue: This article, written by a Christian scholar who has written some books on Christian theology, is essentially written as a challenge to certain well meaning but foolish Christians. These many Christians show their ignorance of actual evidence in their disrespect about the astrology and geomancy traditions of the ancient cultures. They do not realise that the Holy Bible is full of references to men of God practising astrology and geomancy. Read on. With respect to the implications of archaeological texts in the Middle East, one most startling exciting research finding is that the prophecies of the Biblical Book of Revelation could be found in ancient Babylonian cylinder texts! Christian writers (Fleming, 1981; Seiss,1972; Bullinger,1964; Adam, 1937) have noted that the Bible uses astrological terms favourably. Many well meaning but ignorant Christians misleadingly view astrology as demonic. They are quite ignorant of Hebrews traditions which state that it was God who created the Zodiac and that the great Biblical patriarch Abraham invented Hebrew astrology.
The Two Books Traditions stated that the Hebrews received two sets of revelation from God, one the Holy Bible and the other a "lost astrological book". Psalm 19 indicates that the ancient Hebrews were guided by two books of revelation. The second book... The law of the Lord... (Psalm 19:7 onwards) is connected with:
Psalm 19:1-6 refers to a second book on astrological knowledge! The astrological knowledge actually prophesied of the coming Christ (Bullinger, 1964. Appendix 12, Companion Bible). Some scholars propose that the New Testament Book of Revelation is and End-time version of this second book of astrology.
Read the Opening Chapter of Book of Revelation There is new evidence that the prophecies of the Biblical Book of Revelation originated from ancient Babylonian astrological prophecies! Look carefully at this passage of Revelation:
Ramman the Bellowing One Cook (1964 Vol.1 p.576-577) made this significant comment:
Amazing Correspondence between Revelation and Babylonian cylinder seal of "Ramman the Bellowing One" Note the great similarities of the features of the above ancient cylinder seal from Babylon-Assyria, circa 870 BC (Cook 1964 Vol.1 p.577) to the opening passage of the Book of Revelation:
The statistical probability of Revelation and the Babylonian seal having so many correspondence is 1 in 128, i.e. it is very significant at 0.0078 probability. The statistical analysis means that the Revelation prophecies originated from ancient Babylonian astrological prophecies! A number of Biblical scholars have correctly pointed out that the Book of Revelation is full of astrological symbolisms. The ancient traditions are right in that there was a continuous transmission of astrological lore from Adam through Enoch, Seth and Abraham in ancient Mesopotamia to the ancient Hebrew-Chinese-Babylonian circumpolar astronomy and astrology.
The Hebrew Prophets in Babylon The prophecies of God were originally revealed to Adam, circa 4,000 BC, who was the same person as Emperor Fu Hsi, circa 2950 BC, the first world emperor in Chinese legends. These prophecies were handed down to Noah who survived the Great Flood with his family of 8. The prophecies were transmitted to other descendants like Shem the son of Noah. Shem, whom Hebrew traditions equate with Melchisedek king of Jerusalem, was actually the same person as Zeus, the Greek king of gods, and also the Chinese Yellow Emperor Huang Di, circa 2650 BC. It is very foolish of Christians not to realise that the figures in the ancient mythologies, despite some differences, are actualy the same ancient heroes! What many Christians do not realise is that these ancient prophecies of God, often associated with astrology, were floating around among the ancient cultures in many forms. These prophecies of God were written down by the Babylonians onto the cylinder seals. It was because the Babylonians were aware of these prophecies that God gave Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon prophetic dreams, which were interpreted by Daniel the famous Hebrew prophet. It has not occured to Christians that God will give prophecies, especially such great world shaking prophecies, only to the "men of God" and that, despite the erratic typical Christian interpretation, Nebuchadnezzar was a "man of God".. Both Hebrew and Babylonian prophets were actually discussing these same prophecies which have much astrological connections. There are much many immature Christians have to learn!
