Introduction Never before amazing breakthrough into long lost secrets of Feng Shui!
This exegesis is part of our most fantastic scientific research in Feng Shui lore. Here we have a breakthrough into scientific astronomical basis of the sequence of the "flight of 9 numbers" in Luo Shu. Why do the Lou Shu's 9 numbers fly in that zigzag pattern? Along the circumference of the Sun's surface, segments are of unequal spans, as illustrated in Figure 2..
The 9 numbers equate with the standard 180 years cycle of 3 Yuans, each Yuan divided into 3 Yuns, each Yun of 20 years, vis. Table 1. 180 Years Theme of Three Yuans, 9 Yuns
Why do the 9 numbers flow in that zigzag pattern? Finally revealed in this article are the scientific astronomical explanations! The Luo Shu is also known as the "Sigil of Saturn" which hints to the planet Saturn as an astronomical basis of the magic square of 9. The numbers in the magic square add to 15 vertically, horizontally and diagonally, and this reflects the half cycle of the Moon, indicating the Moon is also involved in the establishment of the magic square of 9. The Saturn-Jupiter Trigon and its "20 Years Periodicity" n examination of known astronomical features of the planets would show that the basis of the 20 years period of the "Yun" would be the conjunction of Saturn Jupiter. Jupiter takes 12 years to orbit the Sun, while Saturn would take 30 years. Their conjunction will occur every 20 years. This will form the "Trigon" familiar in ancient cultures, as illustrated in Figure 2.

The features of the Trigon shows that the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter is the basis of the 20 years period of the "Yun". The Trigon features would even spell out the well known sacred auspicious "San Ban Gua" of 1-4-7, 2-5-8, 3-6-9
The ill-understood factor which causes the Trigon periodicity to assume 180 years is the Moon Saros solar eclipse period, which is once every 18 years. The Moon Saris 18 years will synchronise with the 20 years Saturn Jupiter conjunction once every 180 years! The 180 years "Three Yuans, 9 Yuns" theme is thus proven!
The serious problem for Xuan Kong applications is that the Saturn Jupiter conjunction is not exactly 20 years, but 19.83 years. There is a advance of 0.17 year every cycle. Since Emperor Yao's time of 2450 BC, the Saturn Jupiter conjunction had advanced 2 cycles. What is conventionally taken as "Yun 8" for period 2004 to 2024 is actually Yun 1"! The Yun did not start at 2004, but in 2000, after the major conjunctions of the 7 planets in May 1999. We taught our students, as back by case studies, the scientific reasons why the "Yun number" for 2000 to 2020 must be shifted to "1". Modern conventional applications are in serious dating errors, affecting all the Xuan Kong Feng Shui arts, and also Qi Men Dun Jia and Purple Star. For thousands of years, scholars were puzzled over the scientific basis of the sequence of the "flight of the 9 Numbers". As a testimony to the high level of knowledge in our school's Feng Shui and astrology , the secret of how the "flight of the 9 Numbers" arise is broken! The above breakthroughs had long been uncovered many years ago. We eventually found more startling scientific confirmation proof from analysis of the astro-physic satellite tracking of the solar eclispes - this is described in the next article.
