One person asked two related questions.

• What is it which can damage the Immortal Soul?
  What is it which can foster the Immortal Soul?

To answer the above questions, we must reciognise that all ancient cultures say that Man is an Immortal Soul clothed in a mortal physical body. In the very beginning of Time, the mystery about Man's Immortal Soul was cast in a veiled message in the Holy Bible:

• Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. <>br>And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
  For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:1-5

Despite that the serpent can be regarded as an evil creature, the serpent knew the significance of what God earlier recorded:

• And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

The serpent knew that God had given, or rather "breathed" into. Man the "breath of life". Originating from God, this "breath of life" has the nature of God matter and has to be an immortal entity.

The major mistake many well-meaning people took is to mistaken the DNA-protoplasm as the entire component of the Man, while this DNA-protplasm is only a shell for the inner Immortal Soul which was originally God's breath into Man.

The mystery is what Genesis 2:16-17 really mean:

• And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:16-17

God had earlier given Man his "immortal breath". This "immortal breath" became a living thing encased in the dust. What God meant in Genesis 2:6-17 is that this cmbination of "God's immortal breath and the dust" can break down, resulting in what is seen as the physical death.

• This fair one is untouched by age, immortal in a mortal's house. He for whom she was made lies low, and he who formed her hath grown old. Atharva Veda Book X. Hymn 8, verse 26.

But this physical death cannot touch the inner "Immortal Soul", whose God nature all the ancient cultures tesitfy about:.

• Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was; and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12.7

  Confucius said: "The hwun or khi returns to heaven; the body and the p'oh returns to the Earth" Li Chi, Ch.38, 1,7.

  Meet Yama, meet the Fathers, meet the merit of free or ordered acts, in highest heaven. Leave sin and evil, seek anew thy dwelling, and bright with glory wear another body. Rigveda 10.14. 8

The ancient scriptures quoted above universally recognise that, at physical death, there would be a seperation of the physical dust and the "breath from God". It is the physical body, being made of physical dust, which will rot away, back to earth. But, all the ancient scriptures, as quoted above, show that, upon physical death, the Immortal Soul will return to Heaven, and never to a non-existing "Hell".

and the Promise of God to Redeem Man

There are many misinterpretations about what the ancient scriptures really say about the Afterlife. We will discuss them more in other forthcoming articles.

Here, this is the important thing to recognise, that this "Immortal Soul" originates from God and is God nature. Thus, no way can this God nature Immortal Soul ever land into what is call "Hell".

Your Destiny has nothing to do with whether you are going to Heaven or an imaginary non-existent "Hell", but something far more significant.

• For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
  Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.
  Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For whohath resisted his will?
  Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?
  Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
  What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, Romans 9:17-23

God's Remarkable Promise for Every One

In the above passage, it is revealed that God controls everything. While God could make a vessel either initially good or evil, the goodness of God is such that, in the end, God will bring forth glory from every vessel. In dong this, God will nullified the evil results occurring in the Garden of Eden, when the Serpent managed to trick Adam and Eve:

• And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
  And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
  And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.Genesis 3:13-15

You are an Immortal Photon Matrix which is God matter breathed into you and thus can never go to Hell. So, do not waste your time trying to figure out whether you are going to Heaven or Hell. Be comforted, have confidence and concentrate your energies on finding out what to do to gain hapinesss through development of your Immortal Soul, as outlined below.

A word of warning: you are going to find that the ancient scriptures tell the same things about the answers!

The Lord Buddha had expounded that salvation lies in in the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path. Now, look at Table 1, which summarises the Four Noble Truths and Eightfold Path.

These same spiritual values would also be found in the other ancient cultures. Why be bluffed by those who claim their way is the only true way? - they are lying.
