AD 100-200 source from which Tarot originated! |
Breakthrough "Lectio Divinia" Finding Unveiled and Deciphered: Secrets of the Tarot Part 1: Uncovering the Initial Secrets. In-depth scholarly research, comprehensive and very practical Dr Ong Hean-Tatt Ph.D. 10 July 2024 Through millennia the great secrets float in the Akashic Records.
It is said that Tarot originated as a playing card in the 14th century in northern Italy. Divination applications began in the 18th century and is now a very popular divination in modern times. There are controversies as to its origins, vis Egyptian, gypsies, Islamic Middle East. We are going to show Tarot was much older than the 14th or 15th centuries AD. Controversies exist over certain aspects:
Tarot analysts associate the Major Arcanas with Zodiac constellations. Some declare that, without astrology, it would be difficult to penetrate the secrets of Tarot. As indicated by the astrology theme, does Tarot have a Time sequence?
Scientific research by the author shows that X-ray radiation from the Sun could be divided into 28 unequal segments which correlate significantly with the Chinese 28 Lunar Constellations of unequal spans . Further research show that the sequences of features of Chinese 28 Lunar Constellations, 64 hexagrams and Tarot 22 Major Arcana show significant statistical correlations with each other. We have found the scientific astronomical basis of the astrology systems!
Some analysts in the past were correct to assume that the Tarot Major Arcanas have astronomy and astrology basis. Those who placed Strength as No. 8 and Justice as No.11 are correct.

The correlation analysis shows that the card "0 Fool" is indeed the start of the Tarot Major Arcanas, as it correlates well with the meanings of the starting Lunar Constellation as well as those of Hexagrams 1 and 2. "0 Fool" should therefore have the first Hebrew alphabet Aleph, not the "1 Magician" card. What the correlation analysis shows is that the 22 Major Arcanas follow the annual astronomical sequential flow of the Lunar Constellations. The spiritual journey starts with "0 Fool" and progressed astronomically and astrologically through the rest of the Major Arcanas to finish by end of the year at the "21 World" card. The 22 Major Arcanas are a critical path of relevant strategic steps to successfully accomplish a mission. If the person does not successfully finish, then he could cyclically repeat to restart with the "0 Fool" step.
Our research did analyse the correlations between the meanings of the Major Arcana and the Hebrew alphabets. Some analysts were right to say that the Major Arcanas correspond with the Hebrew alphabets. The Kabalic philosophy includes Jewish and Biblical philosophy and also Hellenistic Hermetic and Egyptian philosophy. The Tarot draws universal imagery from Jewish, Biblical, Hermetic and Egyptian iconography, like Holy Grail, Tetragammaton, 12 Zodiac signs, seven-points planetary star. These support arguments that these philosophies are fundamentally the same. Very often, there are two pillars or towers. Some analysts say they reflect a narrow gap. In card 18 Moon, there is a river between the two towers. This indicates the Milky Way the "River of Heaven" flanked by the two dogs Canis Major and Canis Minor. This "Milky Way-River of Heaven" is implicated in water flowing from two chalices. Ancient cultures depict the Milky Way as the path the Souls would take on the way to Heaven. Judgment is at the Cosmic Cross where the Milky Way intersect the ecliptic, flanked by Orion and Taurus. The Cosmic Cross is marked by the Four Heraldic Beasts and aligns at Gemini – the "Two Lovers" appear in a number of the Major Arcanas. top |

Besides drawing from Hellenistic and Biblical themes, the Major Arcanas derived much imagery from ancient Egyptian iconography. It has been earlier stated that meanings of the Major Arcana and Hebrew alphabets have very significant correlation of 0.9500. This indicates that the Major Arcanas have some origins from the much older Hebrew alphabets. The Hebrew alphabets are said to be the oldest alphabets dating from 1750 BC. Moses, back in around 1450 BC, used these Hebrew alphabets to compile the Torah. As Moses learnt in the Egyptian institutions, it was likely that the Hebrew alphabets had some origins in the Egyptian lore. Some have connected Tarot to the Egyptian Bembine Table of Isis, as illustrated below. It is also known as Mensa Isiaca, is a first century BC bronze tablet.
The Middle Panel with two layers thus have 22 icons. The Hebrew 22 alphabets originated from these Egyptian 22 sacred icons! The Bembine Table indicates that the 22 alphabets have associations with the astrology 12 Zodiac signs. That is, Tarot reeks with astrology themes. Athanaius Kircher linked Tarot to this first century Roman altar Tablet, The Bembine Tablet of Isis. In 1860, Eliphas Levi, in his work, The History of Magic, hinted that Kircher was indeed on the right road (1 September, 2023 - 23:55 David Halpin. Cracking the Code to Discover Ancient Tarot Symbolism and Forgotten Universal Knowledge. https://www.ancient-origins.net/opinion-guest-authors/symbolism-0010575). It can be said that the Major Arcanas originated from the 22 Egyptian icons through the 22 Hebrew alphabets. It is not surprising that the modern Tarot Major Arcanas have so much Egyptian symbols. top |

The discussions present evidence that the Tarot Major Arcanas originated with the Egyptian sacred 22 symbols, which became origins of the Hebrew alphabets. The Tarot 22 Major Arcanas and 22 Hebrew alphabets, correlated to each other and the Lunar Constellations, have astrology themes. They reflect the sequential seasonal effects of solar radiations on human development and behavior. Other related articles revealing the astonishing secrets of Tarot:
