There are two different opposite views about the meanings of "0 Fool": One group regards "0 Fool" as a stupid person, having these meanings:

• The conventional explanations say that the Fool signifies the flesh, the sensitive life, and by a peculiar satire its subsidiary name was at one time the alchemist, as depicting folly at the most insensate stage. In contrast, Aleister Crowley described "0 Fool" as a very high status wise person: .

• The Fool… has the horns of Dionysus Zagreus, and between them is the phallic cone of white light representing the influence from the Crown1 upon him… his attitude is that of one bursting unexpectedly upon the world. He is clad in green, according to the tradition of Spring; but his shoes are of the phallic gold of the sun. In his right hand he bears the wand, tipped with a pyramid of white, of the All Father….. Our research has found highly significant statistical correlation between the Major Arcanas and the 32 pairs of I Jing's hexagrams. The correlation shows that "0 Fool" corresponds to the "dragon" of Hexagrams 1 and 2. The "dreagon" is the king whose wisdom or stupidity will affect the country. This supports Crowley version of "0 Fool".

This is a serious corruption, as it prevents readers from assessing the rich legends of the wise old fool in interpreting.

This card has these prominent features: two towers, two dogs, and a crayfish or crab. Conventional interpretations say that this card is under the sign of Cancer the crab, hence the crayfish. However, note these interpretations of the two dogs:

• To what god shall we appeal for aid? It is Anubis, the watcher in the twilight, the god that stands upon the threshold, the jackal god of Khem, who stands in double form between the Ways. At his feet, on watch, wait the jackals themselves, to devour the carcasses of those who have not seen Him, or who have not known His Name. Canis Major and Canis Minor lie low along the ecliptic. However they are not the only two dogs in the star constellations!

There are, in fact, "two dogs" on the constellations near the North Pole star, This is something close to the meanings of the ending cards "19 Sun:, :20 Judgment" and "21 World". These two dogs are Asterion and Chara the two hunting dogs in the star constellation of Canes Venetici, considered associated with Bootes.

The meaning of Canis Venetici and Bootes the "Coming One" would be more in line with the glorious meanings of the ending cards of "17 Star", "18 Moon", "19 Sun", "20 Judgment" and "21 World".

Conventionally the card displays a lady sitting. Her headdress has a full moon flanked by two horns. Many would say this represents Egyptian goddess Isis.

Those who are familiar with Egyptian deities would realise that the imagery of the "2 High Priestess" is that, not of Isis, but the Egyptian goddess Hathor. Hathor was the real top goddess before Isis took over. Isis has taken over much of the roles of Hathor.

The two horns reflect the two horns of the cow. Hathor is the cow goddess and she is reflected in the Zodiac sign of Taurus. In fact in many imagery associated with Tarot the image would be that of a goddess with the two horns. She is of course Hathor.

The inability to recognise that the image is that of Hathor and not Isis reflects carelessness in checking the data base. It may result in less effective interpretations.

For there to be at least 7 corruptions, or about 30% of the Major Arcanas,, means that interpretations may be damaged in 30% of cases. The intuition is not affected but the interpretations will not be so good.

It is possible that, for some of those with stronger intuition, the divination would be affected less. But, think, if we get the more correct imagery, the intuition will lead to better interpretations.

Readers should recognise that intuition is only one part of the Tarot divination. The other supporting part s the imagery data. The prefect ness of the divination will depend on which parts of the "Akashic Records" the intuition leads to.
