Changing Contents of the Holy Bible

Each Christian denomination naively assumes that their Holy Bible is the complete Bible. Bibles of modern Roman Catholics, Protestants and Ethiopians are of three different types. They vary in presence of the Apocrypha and a few texts like the Book of Enoch. In AD400, early theologians debated which books should be in the Bible. The Book of Enoch along with Book of Revelation were removed. While Revelation returned, Enoch was excluded, existing only in the Ethiopian Bible. The different Bible Canons show that they were never Divinely inspired by God but decisions of men clothed in “holy garbs”.

Even more ancient Jews were divided, like about the status of Book of Enoch. The Holy Bible prevailing during the time of Lord Jesus Christ was the Greek Septuagint [at least 200 BC] which contains the Book of Enoch. The oldest extant Old Testament was that of the Massoretic text, which was created in AD 1600 and does not have the Book of Enoch. Almost all modern Bibles claim to be based on the Massoretic text. But evidence indicates that the Greek Septuagint for the more ancient Hebrew can be more accurate than the Massoretic text.

To understand Pope Francis’ Pachamama Universalism, it is relevant to understand the Book of Enoch, which is absent in the modern Bibles, except that of the Ethiopian Bible.

• Jesus …said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures …. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:29-30

  This text about angels being sex is not found in the typical Old Testament but can only be found in Book of Enoch.

  Enoch 15. 5. … I have given them wives that they might impregnate them and children be born by them, as it is done on earth. 6. Ye were formerly spiritual, living an eternal life without death to all the generations of the world. 7. Therefore I have not made for you any wives, for spiritual beings have their home in heaven.

The Book of Enoch was considered scriptures by the Early Fathers:

• Many other church fathers such as Tatian (110-172); Irenaeus (130?-202?), Bishop of Lyons (115-185); Clement of Alexandria (150-220); Tertullian (160-230) called "Holy Scripture"; Origen (186-255); Lactantius (260-330). Methodius of Philippi, Minucius Felix, Commodianus, and Ambrose also sanctioned the Book of Enoch, even Augustine… Origen "gave the same weight to the Book of Enoch as he did to the Psalms. Geographical Data in Book of Enoch Identify Location of Enoch

The Book of Enoch is ill-understood by almost all modern theologians. The internal geographical data would not be understood.
